Our first art topic in year 4 was based upon Paul Klee. We learnt about him and his most well-known painting – Red Balloon. After learning about the artist and this painting, we built on our skills for sketching (learning about angles and pencil grip) as well as blending colours to investigate what they made. We then applied these skills to recreate his painting using chalk and pastels. Year 4 have done brilliantly with this!
