Reception class created their own stickman family and helped them find their family tree today as the explored the outdoor area. They then snuggled up inside to hear Miss Hines read the story of the Stick Man.
‘We didn’t mind the snow and ice, we loved exploring the ice and trying to make it melt!’ Reception class loved exploring the outdoors in the minus temperatures.
This week, our values award goes to a boy who is always showing teachers and peers what a role model he is. He is always showing the school values and working so hard in class. Our stars of the week are also children who have been impressing staff in school for so many reasons. Well done to everyone!

This week Reception Ckass have been spending time creating diva lamps. They loved being able to “light” them and sit and listen to our end of the day story holding them.
Our buddy system is a huge part of helping children to settle in at school and providing those positive role models around school. Today, Year Six read their favourite stories to their buddies which was a delight. A huge thank you to Year Six for taking great care of our youngest pupils.
Today, was our Harvest Festival at St John Baptist Church. A huge thank you to the parents and carers who joined us and generously donated food for families in need in the community. Our Year Six pupils shared prayers and read beautifully.
Reception Class have been baking bread this week in preparation for the Harvest Festival. They even got to taste some.
Our parents and carers in Foundation Stage joined us for a workshop linked to the Elmer book. The children shared their vocabulary routines and listened to the story. They then created a wonderful picture of Elmer to keep. Thank you to everyone who attended we had a great afternoon.
